Backyard Film & Music Festival 2010:

This year’s festival really grew by leaps and bounds since last year’s. The new location, The Pullman Historical Site, was absolutely amazing and the fact that our film was screened inside this giant, industrial, broke down, warehouse was really something. I have to say that the inclusion of bands this year kind of put a damper on the sense of a filmmaking community that was created with last year’s event. You didn’t have people walking around going “oh do you have a film here, what’s it about, mines about this, we should work together some time, etc, etc”, because there was something else to do besides mingle.

This isn’t to say the band’s weren’t enjoyable, they were and overall I think it still is a great/important thing the creators are doing.

When all was said and done, our film went over very well and we were happy we could share it with a room full of strangers. We’re looking forward to next year’s festival already.
