Progress:
Our feature film teaser/fundraising video that you saw behind the scenes stills for is progressing nicely.
Picture cut - Done.
Get graphics laid in - laid indeed.
Recording the voice over track this morning with VO artist Bob Ball. You may know him from the opening of The Maximum Fun podcast My brother, my brother, and me.
Pretty neat.

If we've been absent (we have)...
It’s not because we’ve given up, it’s because we’ve been hustling. Yesterday we (along with the production company we’re working with) wrapped on shooting the “trailer”/fundraising teaser for our feature (slated to shoot in Sept/Oct). There’s still post work to be done but we’re really happy with how it turned out and how much Hunter and I were...

I swear, we still exist. We are tirelessly combing through garbage bags full of old receipts and napkins with funny ideas scribbled on them. There’s a wall-sized cork board that we sort them on. We work in 18 hour shifts, staring at the board, looking for patterns. I haven’t slept in two days. Christian hasn’t sat down in four. We work by candlelight, saving up for our big...

The first installment of our new webseries, DimeStore Does It. In this episode we peek into the reading habits of our young hosts. DimeStore Does It is designed to be an outlet for short gags, ideas, and micro-frivolity that can be generally shot and edited within the matter of a day or two. Summing up, it’s something to keep our hands busy. We’re very excited for this series and...

Can you feel it in the air?
Today we’re shooting the first “episode” of our new series: DimeStore Does It! with the new camera. We’re very, very excited and will post it as soon as we’re done cutting it.
Also coming soon, we’ll have a review and some pictures from this years Backyard Film and Music Festival where our short A Sip From a Certain Fountain was screened.
Stay tuned. DimeStore...

A blast from the past. Just found this nonsense loop on my computer, it’s from Fire & Dice which we shot in 2006. Turn your speakers up.
This is how we vent during multiple day editing sessions. This or making gifs of disgusting faces.

In honor of today being Twilight Zone day, I’m reposting our last short film A Sip From a Certain Fountain, a Twilight Zone inspired (both in story and aesthetics) comedy.
If you haven’t seen it yet, check it out.
Long live Serling.

Some lines from Darjeeling Limited that always stood out to me:
(Peter just finishes reading a new short story Jack has written)
Peter: I like how mean you are.
Jack: The characters are all fictio…..Thanks.
I feel like with our feature, The Origins of Wit and Humor, we’re essentially Jack in this scene.
Where do you go to my lovely?
Thought I’d post a quick update of what’s been going on with us since we’ve been lax on the tumbling lately.
We’re currently finishing up the 3rd draft of the script which is shaping up quite nicely and includes some new scenes we’re very happy with. We’ve been given a deadline from the production company to meet so we’re doing our best to get it to...

Regarding Christian's Comedy Influences
I feel like there are a fairly standard set of comedy obssession mile markers in a young suburban man’s life. Despite being a young, comedy-obessessed suburban man, these seem to have eluded Christian.
That first show you became annoyingly fixated on, and quote to death, and always want to hang around the TV if it’s on even though you’ve seen twenty times, and assume everyone...

I’m not sure if this is inspiring, but it sure is accurate.
